Mangaluru,4 May 2026: The Department of Social Work at Swastika National Business School successfully concluded its 10-week Coastal Care Campaign at Someshwara Beach. The campaign was organized by II-year BSW students in association with the SDG Club.
The beach cleaning drive was conducted every Monday over the past 10 weeks, with the aim of protecting and preserving the coastal environment. Students actively participated in collecting waste, spreading awareness about cleanliness, and promoting sustainable practices among the public.
The final session (Week #10) marked the conclusion of the campaign, highlighting the dedication and consistent efforts of the students. The initiative also focused on key Sustainable Development Goals such as Climate Action, Life Below Water, and Life on Land.
Through this campaign, students demonstrated social responsibility and environmental awareness, making a positive impact on the local community. The program stands as an example of how youth involvement can contribute to environmental protection and community development.
