Mangaluru, August 2: Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, organized the live webcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address on the Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) campaign on 02 August 2026. The programme was conducted to create awareness among students and staff about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to reinforce the importance of building a healthy, addiction-free society.
The event was attended by Principal and Director, Dr. A. R. Shabaraya, Anti-Drug Committee members Dr. Kumara Prasad S. A. and Dr. Viresh K. Chandur, Heads of the Departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students of the college.

The participants watched the Prime Minister’s address with keen interest and gained valuable insights into the need to prevent substance abuse, adopt healthy lifestyles, and promote social responsibility among the youth. During the address, the Prime Minister highlighted the collective responsibility of educational institutions, families, communities, and society in combating drug abuse. He also encouraged students to become ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat movement by spreading awareness and inspiring others to lead healthy, responsible, and productive lives.
The programme concluded with faculty members and students reaffirming their commitment to the vision of a Drug-Free India by actively supporting anti-drug initiatives, promoting awareness, and encouraging responsible behaviour within the community.
