Surat: The Entrepreneurship Club “Swastika Udyamshala” of Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, successfully organized a four-day industrial exposure visit to Surat, Gujarat, from July 21 to 24, 2026. The educational tour was conducted with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to India’s leading textile and diamond industries while promoting entrepreneurship and industry-oriented learning.
As part of the visit, the students toured Suchi Industries Ltd., where they gained first-hand knowledge of modern textile manufacturing processes, quality control, production management, and technological advancements in the textile sector. The students were guided through the factory by Mr. Deepak, who explained the various stages of textile production and shared valuable insights into entrepreneurship and industrial management.
The students also visited Charu Jewellers at Gem Park, Surat, where they learned about the diamond and jewellery industry, including diamond processing, jewellery craftsmanship, quality standards, and retail business operations. Mr. Tanay Desai, the Business Development Manager of Charu Jewellers, interacted with the students and explained the functioning of the jewellery business, providing them with valuable knowledge about the industry.
In addition, the students explored several Bombay markets in Surat to experience the city’s vibrant wholesale and retail business environment. They observed a wide variety of textile products, customer preferences, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and market practices. Through industrial visits, market exploration, and interactions with industry experts, the students gained valuable insights into production processes, supply chain management, export procedures, and entrepreneurship.
The industrial visit helped students understand the functioning of large-scale enterprises, business operations, marketing strategies, and the importance of innovation and sustainability in today’s competitive business environment. The programme successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and practical industry exposure, enhancing students’ managerial and entrepreneurial skills.
