Vamanjoor, July 11: St. Raymond’s Pre-University College, Vamanjoor, in association with Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, successfully inaugurated the Skill Club – Empowering Students for Life on Saturday, 11 July 2026. The initiative has been launched with the objective of equipping students with essential life skills, leadership qualities, communication abilities, and career readiness to help them excel in both academic and professional life.
The programme commenced with a prayer followed by a warm welcome address. The Skill Club was formally inaugurated by Mr. Jayaram S., Retired KSRTC Employee and President of SDMC, Government High School, Moodushedde, through the unveiling of the Skill Club banner, symbolizing the beginning of a platform dedicated to the holistic development of students.

Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Raghavendra Holla N., Chairman of Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, highlighted the growing importance of communication skills, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional ethics in today’s competitive world.
He encouraged students to make the best use of the Skill Club by actively participating in its various activities, workshops, and training sessions to build confidence and prepare themselves for future opportunities.
The programme was presided over by Sr. Dr. Sadhana BS, Principal of St. Raymond’s Pre-University College, Vamanjoor. In her presidential address, she appreciated the collaborative initiative and emphasized that skill-based education plays a vital role in shaping responsible, confident, and capable individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.
The objectives, vision, and planned activities of the Skill Club were presented by Mrs. Bhayashree, Coordinator of Skill Club, Swastika National Business School, and Mrs. Savitha Merlyn Menezes, Coordinator of Skill Club, St. Raymond’s PU College. They explained that the club would organize regular sessions on personality development, communication, leadership, career guidance, teamwork, and other practical life skills throughout the academic year.
The programme was attended by Dr. Malini N. Hebbar, Principal of Swastika National Business School, NSS Coordinators Mr. Jayaram and Mrs. Lidwin Crasta, AICUF Coordinator Mrs. Nivya D’Souza, faculty members, staff, and students, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
The inauguration marked a meaningful beginning towards empowering young minds with practical knowledge, confidence, and values, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions to nurture students into competent and socially responsible citizens.
