Mangaluru, July 10: Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, inaugurated the Skill Club at Government Pre-University College for Girls, Carstreet, on Friday with the objective of equipping students with communication skills, leadership qualities, personality development, and career readiness.
The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Deepa Kamath, Proprietor, Fieldstar Engineering, Mangaluru, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In her inaugural address, she emphasized the importance of practical skills and continuous learning in today’s competitive world and encouraged students to complement their academic knowledge with industry-relevant competencies.
Dr. Raghavendra Holla N., Chairman of Swastika National Business School, attended as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the growing need for skill-based education and entrepreneurship, urging students to actively participate in Skill Club activities to develop confidence, communication skills, and employability.
The programme was presided over by Sri. Srinivasa K.T., In-charge Principal of Government PU College for Girls, Carstreet, who appreciated the initiative and assured the institution’s support for future Skill Club activities.
As part of the inaugural programme, Smt. Preeti Shettigar, Life Skill Trainer and Assistant Professor at Swastika National Business School, conducted an interactive workshop titled “Crafting Communication.” The session focused on verbal and non-verbal communication, presentation skills, interview techniques, and personality development. Students enthusiastically participated in the workshop and benefited from practical exercises aimed at enhancing their communication abilities.
The Skill Club will organize regular workshops, training programmes, and skill enhancement activities throughout the academic year to prepare students for higher education and future careers.
