Mangaluru, April 12, 2026: The Department of Social Work of Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, successfully organized a Community Outreach Programme titled “Prerana Summer Camp – Learn, Explore, Enjoy” on April 12, 2026, at Koraga Taniya Seva Samithi, Prakashnagara, Pilar.
The summer camp was designed for children aged 5 to 13 years, aiming to provide a platform for creative learning, personal development, and joyful engagement. The initiative focused on nurturing young minds through a blend of educational and recreational activities.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from children, who engaged in various fun-filled sessions including interactive games, basic learning activities, team-building exercises, and creative expression. The camp created a lively and inclusive environment, encouraging children to explore their talents and build confidence.
The event was thoughtfully organized and executed by the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students—Ms. Swathi Rai, Ms. Jyothi Shetty, Ms. Tanusha (I BSW), and Ms. Poornima Naveen (II BSW). Their dedication and commitment ensured the smooth conduct of the programme and meaningful engagement with the children.
The outreach programme reflects the institution’s commitment to community service and holistic education. It also provided an opportunity for students to gain practical exposure in social work by directly interacting with the community and addressing developmental needs at the grassroots level.
