Bantwal, 22 August 2026: An engaging session on “Effective Public Speaking” was organized at SVS Temple PU College, Bantwal, as part of the Skill Club activities in collaboration with Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru and JCI Mangaluru Samrat. The session was conducted with the objective of helping students develop confidence, communication skills and the ability to express their thoughts effectively before an audience.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Raghavendra Holla, who guided the students through various aspects of effective public speaking. The session focused on overcoming hesitation, building confidence, organizing thoughts, effective delivery and developing the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
Mr. Allan Donald, Skill Club Coordinator, welcomed the gathering and introduced the session before handing it over to the trainer, Dr. Raghavendra Holla. Through an interactive and engaging approach, Dr. Holla encouraged students to actively participate and develop their speaking abilities. Students were given practical insights into the importance of body language, voice modulation, clarity of thought, audience engagement and confidence while speaking.
Mr. Gangadhar Alva, Principal, SVS Temple PU College, Bantwal, along with the lecturers of the institution, was present during the programme and extended their support towards the initiative. The participation and encouragement of the faculty members contributed to creating a positive learning environment for the students.
The programme concluded on a positive note, motivating students to overcome their fear of public speaking and make conscious efforts to improve their communication skills. The initiative served as a valuable step towards empowering students with confidence, effective communication abilities and essential life skills.
