Malayibettu, September 19, 2026: Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, affiliated with Mangalore University, in association with DKZP Higher Primary School, Malayibettu, BC Road, organised a Community Outreach Programme on “Save Trees, Save Earth” on September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
The programme was organised by Shaharu, Missriya, Bhavisha and Sahana, with Sakshi Poojary serving as the Resource Person. The initiative aimed to create awareness among school children about the importance of trees, nature, cleanliness and environmental protection.
During the session, the students learned about the importance of trees in providing oxygen, reducing pollution, protecting soil and supporting birds and animals. They were also encouraged to develop responsible habits such as planting trees, avoiding plastic, saving water, keeping their surroundings clean and protecting plants and animals.
An awareness speech on nature and environmental protection was conducted, followed by a drawing competition on the theme “Save Trees, Save Earth”. The children actively participated and expressed their understanding of environmental conservation through their creative drawings.
The programme highlighted that protecting nature is a collective responsibility and encouraged the students to contribute towards a cleaner, greener and healthier environment. The initiative concluded with an encouraging message to work together for the protection of nature and the well-being of future generations.
