Chelairu, August 22, 2026: An engaging session on “Inclusive Minds – Understanding Gender Sensitivity” was organized at Government PU College, Chelairu, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, as part of the Skill Club – Empowering Students for Life initiative.
The session was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about gender sensitivity, equality, respect and inclusiveness. The programme was facilitated by Dr. Vidya Vinutha D’Souza, POSH and POCSO Trainer and Head of the Department of Social Work, Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangaluru.
Through an interactive and informative session, Dr. Vidya Vinutha D’Souza helped students understand the importance of respecting individual differences and developing an inclusive mindset. The session highlighted the significance of treating everyone with dignity and creating an environment where individuals feel respected, valued and included.
The programme was held on 22 August 2026 at 2:00 PM at Government PU College, Chelairu, Mangaluru. Students actively participated in the session and gained valuable insights into gender sensitivity, equality and the importance of creating a respectful and inclusive environment in educational institutions and society.
The programme was organized in collaboration with the Skill Club of Swastika National Business School and the Skill Club of Government PU College, Chelairu. Mrs. Vidhyalaxmi P. Shetty, Coordinator, Skill Club, Swastika National Business School, and Mr. Chandranatha M, Coordinator, Skill Club, Government PU College, Chelairu, played an important role in coordinating the programme.
The session concluded on a positive note, encouraging students to develop inclusive minds, respect diversity and promote gender equality in their personal, academic and professional lives. The initiative served as a valuable step towards empowering students with greater awareness, sensitivity and essential life skills.
