Mangaluru: Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, in association with Government Higher Primary School, Konaje Padavu, organised a Community Outreach Programme on “Addiction-Free India” on August 12, 2026.
The programme was conducted as part of the Fieldwork Practicum of BSW students, with the aim of creating awareness among young minds about the harmful effects of addiction and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible life.
The programme focused on educating students about the physical, mental and social consequences of substance addiction. The participants were encouraged to stay away from addictive substances and make healthy choices for a better future.
Mrs. Poornima Naveen served as the resource person and addressed the students on the dangers of addiction and the need for awareness among youngsters.
The programme was organised by Geetha (III BSW) and Kedar (III BSW) of Swastika National Business School. Students and teachers of Government Higher Primary School, Konaje Padavu, participated in the programme.
The outreach programme successfully conveyed the message of “Strong Minds, Better Choices, Brighter Future” and encouraged students to contribute towards building an addiction-free and healthy society.
