Mangaluru, 21 November 2025: As part of the Samparka Sanchara #1 initiative, Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, successfully conducted a Community Outreach Programme on the theme “Zero Plastic, Zero Pollution” at S.M. Government Primary School, Chokobettu.
The programme was organized by Gagan (I B.Com), Prajna (I B.Com), and Niv Kumar (I B.Com) with the objective of creating awareness among young students about the harmful effects of plastic and the importance of adopting eco-friendly practices.
The session was led by resource persons Meghana (I B.Com) and Dhishank (I B.Com), who delivered an informative and interactive presentation. They explained, What plastic is and its various types, The dangers of excessive plastic use, The concept of the 4 R’s – Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Recover, Practical methods to reuse, recycle, and reduce plastic consumption, The harmful effects of plastic on the environment, The impact of plastic on human healthStudents showed active interest and participated enthusiastically in the discussions, reflecting a strong awareness toward building a cleaner and healthier environment.
This outreach initiative highlighted Swastika National Business School’s commitment to promoting environmental consciousness and encouraging students to adopt sustainable practices in daily life.
