Mangaluru, 20 September 2025: The Social Work Forum of Swastika National Business School, affiliated to Mangalore University, successfully organized Samartha #12, the weekly series on social work topics, on the theme Eco Justice: Social Work for a Sustainable Future. The event was held on September 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Swastika Waterfront, Sulthan Bathery, Mangaluru.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Nagaraj R. Anchan, Project Manager at Hasiru Dala, Mangaluru, who engaged students in a thought-provoking discussion on the intersection of environmental justice and social work. He emphasized the urgent need for climate action, sustainable practices, and community participation to ensure ecological balance and social well-being. His talk highlighted how social workers can play a pivotal role in creating awareness, mobilizing communities, and implementing grassroots initiatives for sustainability.
The program was attended by the all BSW students of Swastika National Business School, who actively participated in the interaction. The session inspired students to reflect on their responsibility towards environmental conservation and social equity.
