Mangalore, 16 October 2025: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, organized a one-day NSS Camp at Swastika Waterfront, Sulthan Bathery, Mangaluru.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Jagadesh Shetty Boloor, Immediate Past Corporator, Boloor, and Treasurer and Trustee of Sanidhya Residential School & Training Centre for the Mentally Challenged. He was warmly welcomed with a sweet and later delivered an inspiring talk on the values and importance of NSS in shaping responsible citizens.
Following the address, Mr. Jagadesh Shetty Boloor inaugurated the official pamphlets for the upcoming Medical Checkup and Eye Checkup Camps. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Raghavendra Holla N, Chairman of the institution, who shared his presidential remarks, motivating students to actively participate in community service.
After the formal session, mentor–mentee teams were assigned specific areas around the campus for a cleanliness drive, including the interlock area, the ground, and the entrance. Later, in teams of three, students visited nearby houses to distribute pamphlets and spread awareness about the medical and eye checkup initiatives.
The event was conducted in the presence of Dr. Raghavendra Holla N, Chairman; Mrs. Vidyalaxmi P. Shetty, NSS Coordinator; Ms. Bhagyashree, Faculty Coordinator; and NSS Secretaries ChennBasava and Nishmitha. Their guidance and encouragement greatly contributed to the success of the program.
The camp reflected the true spirit of NSS — “Not Me But You” — by promoting teamwork, cleanliness, and community welfare.
