Mangaluru, 13 December 2025: Swastika National Business School organized an industrial visit to Deccan Plast Industries, Konaje, with the participation of 80 students, under the guidance of Lecture In-charge Ms. Vidya ma’am and Ms. Poornima ma’am.
During the visit, students were informed that Deccan Plast offers a premium range of plastic molded furniture designed to suit individual preferences and functional needs. The industry, which shifted its operations from Baikampady to Konaje in 2022, currently employs around 60 employees and exports its products to Dubai and other international markets.
Students were exposed to various departments such as manufacturing, packaging, and transport. They observed the production of a wide range of plastic molded furniture including Premium Cabinets, Premium Novelty Chairs, Relax Chairs, Premium Arm Chairs, Ornamental Chairs, Premium Dining Chairs, Mid-Back Arm Chairs, Armless Chairs, Seating Systems, Multipurpose Tables, Dining Tables, Stools, Chairs for Children, and Rocker Toys for Children.In addition, students learned about the company’s Material Handling Solutions, including plastic crates and baskets, used for storage and logistics across industrial and consumer sectors.
The industrial visit provided valuable insights into manufacturing practices, export-oriented business operations, and departmental coordination, helping students bridge classroom learning with real-world industry exposure.
