Vamanjoor, 18 June 2025: The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for the academic year 2025–2026 was successfully held at the auditorium of St. Raymond’s P.U. College, Vamanjoor. The event unfolded in a warm and spirited atmosphere, marked by strong parental engagement and a shared vision for student success.

The session commenced with a prayer, invoking divine blessings and setting a thoughtful tone for the day.

Rev. Sr. Cicilia Mendonca, Correspondent of the College, presided over the function. In her presidential address, she underscored the vital role of parents in shaping their children’s lives. “Parents are their children’s first and most enduring teachers,” she remarked, encouraging families to spend quality time together, listen with empathy, and be role models in today’s fast-paced world.

The keynote speaker, Mr. Raghavendra Holla, Chairman of Swastika Business School, delivered an inspiring address on the theme of positive parenting. His engaging talk emphasized nurturing children with compassion, responsibility, and a global outlook. “The true measure of success lies in raising individuals who leave a positive impact on others,” he stated.

The event was honoured by the presence of Rev. Sr. Lavita BS, Superior of St. Raymond’s Convent, and Sr. Dr. Sadhana BS, Principal of the College. Sr. Dr. Sadhana shared important updates and re-emphasized the institution’s mission of holistic development and academic excellence.

Adding to the dignified atmosphere on stage was Mr. Mayyadi, Vice President of the PTA Executive Committee. A vibrant welcome dance by the students infused the event with energy and enthusiasm.

A notable highlight of the day was the official unveiling of the Silver Jubilee Logo, commemorating the institution’s 25 years of educational service. The logo was released by the President of the function, and Mrs. Vinita Tauro offered a compelling explanation of its design and deeper meaning.

Mrs. Geetha, Joint Secretary, presented a detailed review of the college’s activities and the significant contributions of the PTA over the last academic year. The financial report, presented by Treasurer Mrs. Harinakshi, demonstrated the PTA’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

Newly appointed members of the PTA Executive Committee were introduced by Mrs. Anitha Ferrao, Lecturer. Mr. Hemanth provided a warm and insightful introduction of the Chief Guest. The event was skillfully compered by Ms. Savitha Menezes, Lecturer, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ravichandra, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of parents, reflecting their active engagement and strong partnership with the college in building a brighter future for the students.
