Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, in association with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association Local Branch, Mangalore, organized a joint event to observe National cGMP Day and World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2025.
The event, held at Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, was presided over by Dr. A R Shabaraya, Principal and Director, who highlighted the significance of these days in his presidential remarks.
Dr. Viresh Chandur, Professor and Head of Pharmacy Practice, welcomed the dignitaries as the coordinator, setting the tone for the event.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kumara Prasad S A, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis.
The event featured insightful presentations on cGMP by Dr. Krishnananda Kamath, Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, and on Mental Health by Dr. Pooja Gopal Poojary, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
The event was attended by teaching and non-teaching faculties, and the knowledge shared by the speakers was well-received by first-year students of B Pharm, Pharm D, and D Pharm programs.
