Shimantoor, 31 July 2025: Sri Sharada Central School proudly marked a significant milestone in its commitment to community service and holistic education with the inaugural ceremony of the National Service Scheme (NSS) held on July 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the school’s main auditorium.
The event was presided over by Dharmadarshi Dr. Harikrishna Punarooru, President of Sri Sharada Society (R), Shimantoor, whose visionary leadership continues to shape the institution’s ethos of service and excellence. The NSS unit was formally inaugurated by Dr. Raghavendra Holla N., Chairman, Swastika National Business School, Mangalore, who in his keynote address inspired students to embrace the spirit of volunteerism and nation-building through selfless service.
The gathering included the Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, SPL and student council members, students, parents, and volunteers, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to the values of social responsibility and active citizenship. The presence of the President and Directors of Sri Sharada Society (R), Shimantoor and the Parent-Teacher Association members added significance to the event.
The NSS Program Officer, along with the secretaries and volunteers, were appreciated for their efforts in laying a strong foundation for impactful future initiatives under the NSS banner.
The ceremony concluded on a high note, with renewed energy and enthusiasm among students to make a meaningful difference in society through the activities of the newly formed NSS unit.
