Odessa, August 7, 2024 – Chinthan Shetty, a commerce student at Sri Ramakrishna PU College, Mangalore, has won a silver medal at the National Swimming Championships held in Odessa.
Chinthan, son of Police Officer Mr. Shashidhar Shetty and Mrs. Harinakshi Shetty, completed his SSLC at Shri Ramakrishna High School, Bunts Hostel, Mangalore. With a passion for swimming from a young age, he received training at Mangala Swimming Club under the guidance of trainers Mr. Shivananda Gatti and international coach Mr. Shishir S. Gatti. Chinthan has quickly made a name for himself in district, state, and national-level competitions and won has won numerous prizes.
The coach’s aspiration is for him to participate in the Olympics, representing India, and make a significant contribution to the nation’s sporting legacy.
