Belthangady, December 15, 2025: Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru (Affiliated to Mangalore University), through its National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, successfully organized a Community Outreach Programme on ‘Ending Child Labour’ in association with Government Primary School, Kayarthadka, aligning with SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.
The programme was conducted on December 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the school premises with the objective of creating awareness among young students about the importance of education, children’s rights, and the harmful consequences of child labour.
The session was led by Ms. Arpitha, I B.Com student and Soft Skill Trainer from Swastika National Business School, who served as the resource person. She explained the concept of child labour in a simple and age-appropriate manner, emphasizing the right of every child to education, safety, and a healthy childhood. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, students were encouraged to understand why child labour must be eliminated for a better and equitable society.
The students actively participated and responded enthusiastically, reflecting keen interest and awareness gained through the session. The programme reinforced the message that education is the strongest tool to end child labour and ensure a dignified future for every child.
The outreach programme was organized by Ashwath Gowda, Shivaprasad, and Sathwik under the NSS initiative. Swastika National Business School continues to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility, community engagement, and value-based education through such impactful outreach activities.
