Mangaluru, 12 November 2025: The Internal Complaints Committee (POSH) of Besant Women’s College organized an insightful awareness programme titled “POSH for a Safer Tomorrow: Know Your Rights” in the college auditorium.
The session was conducted by Dr. Devi Prabha Alva, who delivered a powerful and engaging presentation on the key principles of the POSH Act. She highlighted the significance of dignity, respect, and safety in both educational institutions and workplace environments. Through real-life examples and clear legal explanations, Dr. Alva effectively conveyed the responsibilities of individuals and institutions in preventing and addressing sexual harassment.
Her interactive approach encouraged active participation from both staff and students, leading to meaningful discussions and a deeper understanding of rights, procedures, and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive campus.
