Mangalore, September 10, 2024 : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of PA First Grade College, in association with the Human Rights Club and National Service Scheme (NSS), observed World Suicide Prevention Day with a thought-provoking program.
The event aimed to educate students on suicide prevention and featured renowned Teen-Parent Relationship Coach and Founder of Doer’s Success, Mangaluru, Ms. Kaneez Fathima, as the chief guest.Held at the E-learning Centre at 11:15 a.m., the program featured an informative discussion by Ms. Fathima on critical aspects of suicide prevention, including, Truths and myths surrounding suicide, Warning signs of suicidal behavior, Possible factors contributing to suicide and Creating a school wellness team for suicide prevention.
The program’s objective was to empower students with knowledge and awareness to prevent suicide. The event was a resounding success, with Ms. Fathima’s expertise providing valuable takeaways for the students. The program reinforced the importance of addressing mental health and promoting suicide prevention within the academic community.
