Mangalore, September 18, 2024: P.A. First Grade College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), inaugurated the “NSS Activities: 2024-25” at 11:00 AM in the E-learning centre.
Dr. Sheshappa K, NSS Program Coordinator, Mangalore University, and Associate Professor, Government First Grade College, Mudipu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Sheshappa emphasized the significance of NSS in providing opportunities for students to engage in community service, fostering confidence and social responsibility.
The event also featured Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahammad, Dean-Student Affairs and Director of the Center for Management Studies and Research (CMSR), who shared his valuable experiences in the National Service Scheme.
Dr. G. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal of PAFGC, delivered a motivational presidential address, inspiring NSS students to embark on their community service journey.
The program showcased the talents of NSS students through songs and cultural performances. Other distinguished guests included Ms. Vanishree Y, IQAC Coordinator; Heads of various Departments; Ms. Ithashree M. and Ms. Chaithra N.V., NSS Program Officers; and members of NSS units.
The program commenced with an invocation by Mr. Aboobacker Sahil (I BBA(A)) and a warm welcome by Ms. Huda (I BCOM). Ms. Fouza Fathima (I BCA) extended the vote of thanks, while Ms. Hiba Mariyam (I BBA(A)) skillfully compered the program.
The inauguration of NSS Activities for 2024-25 was a resounding success, providing students with insights, motivation, and a sense of purpose in their involvement with the National Service Scheme.
