Mangalore, September 20, 2024 : P.A. First Grade College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), inaugurated the “NSS Activities: 2024-25” at 11:00 AM in the E-learning centre. The event featured Dr. Sheshappa K., NSS Program Coordinator at Mangalore University and Associate Professor at Govt. First Grade College, Mudipu, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Sheshappa highlighted the significant role the National Service Scheme (NSS) plays in offering students opportunities to engage in community service, enhancing their confidence and overall development.
The program also saw the presence of Dr. Sayyad Ameen Ahamad, Dean of Student Affairs and Director of the Center for Management Studies and Research (CMSR), who shared his valuable experiences with NSS, emphasizing the transformative impact it has on students. Dr. G. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal of PAFGC, delivered an inspiring presidential address, encouraging students to make the most of their participation in NSS activities.
Adding to the event’s energy, the NSS students showcased their talents by performing NSS songs. Ms. Vanishree Y., Coordinator of IQAC, along with the Heads of various departments, Ms. Ithashree M. and Ms. Chaithra N.V., who serve as the NSS Program Officers at PAFGC, were present alongside members of the NSS units to support the occasion.
The program commenced with an invocation by Mr. Aboobacker Sahil from I BBA(A), setting a positive tone for the event. Ms. Huda from I BCOM extended a warm welcome to the gathering, while Ms. Fouza Fathima from I BCA expressed gratitude through a thoughtful vote of thanks. The event was skillfully compered by Ms. Hiba Mariyam of I BBA(A).
The inauguration of NSS Activities for 2024-25 was a resounding success, providing students with valuable insights, motivation, and a sense of purpose as they embark on their journey with the National Service Scheme.
