Mangalore, 19 December 2025: Swastika National Business School, affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru, organized an NSS Community Outreach Programme on “Beach Clean-Up” as part of its commitment to social responsibility and environmental protection. The programme was conducted on 15th December 2025 at 8:00 a.m. at Someshwara Beach.
The programme was organized by the II BSW students under the guidance of NSS coordinators. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness about environmental cleanliness, marine conservation, and climate action (SDG 13). Students actively participated in cleaning the beach by collecting plastic waste, bottles, food wrappers, and other non-biodegradable materials.
Through this activity, students learned the importance of maintaining clean coastal areas and protecting marine life from pollution. The programme also helped in developing a sense of social responsibility, teamwork, leadership, and civic consciousness among the participants.The Beach Clean-Up programme was successful in promoting environmental awareness and encouraging the community to adopt eco-friendly practices for a cleaner and healthier environment.
