Mangaluru, December 16, 2025: As part of its commitment to SDG 13 – Climate Action, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru (Affiliated to Mangalore University), organized an NSS Community Outreach Programme – Beach Clean-Up Drive at NITK Beach, Surathkal, on December 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
The programme was conducted in association with Dhanyavad Friends Circle (R), Urwastore, Sunkadakatte.The initiative aimed to create awareness about environmental protection, marine conservation, and the importance of maintaining clean coastal areas. NSS volunteers actively participated in collecting plastic waste and other non-biodegradable materials from the beach, emphasizing responsible waste management and sustainable practices.
The programme was efficiently organized by Janani and team, including Dhanya, Ujwala, Sinchana, Acquilla, Ajay, Channabasava, Manish, Chandan, Sindhu, and Henal. Their collective effort ensured the smooth execution of the clean-up drive.
The beach clean-up programme reinforced the role of students as responsible citizens and environmental stewards. Swastika National Business School continues to promote community engagement and environmental responsibility through impactful NSS outreach initiatives.
