Rotary Pre University College hosted a significant legal awareness program focusing on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. The event, organized by the college students, began with a prayer and the lighting of a ceremonial lamp.
Shri Ravi Kumar, Principal of Rotary Pre-University College, welcomed the attendees and set the tone for the program. Senior lawyer Mr. Bahubali Prasad emphasized the importance of understanding legal frameworks in students’ lives. Advocate Mrs. Megharani, the guest resource person, provided an in-depth overview of the POCSO Act and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, highlighting their relevance and impact.
The program was presided over by the college organizer, Rtn. J.W. Pinto officiating and offering best wishes for the event’s success. Board member Rtn. H. Mohan Bhat and faculty members were present. Lecturer Mrs. Rajeshwari, officiated as the program’s host. Mrs. Malathi concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
