A legal awareness program was conducted at Vijaya Pre University College, Mulki, focusing on the POCSO Act and the prohibition of Child Marriage Act.
Renowned lawyer B. Vivek, serving as the resource person, enlightened students about these laws through real-life incidents and explained the legal actions associated with the POCSO Act and the prohibition of Child Marriage Act.
Additionally, Mr. Suresh Kunder, Police Officer of Mulki, advised students to share their problems and be aware of inappropriate behavior through touch, emphasizing the importance of addressing such issues.
Mrs. Pamida Begum, Principal of Vijaya Pre University College, presided over the program, providing valuable insights on child marriage and the POCSO Act, using examples of social reformers in her speech. Mrs. Pavan, Computer Science Lecturer and Nodal Officer, was also present on stage.
