Mangalore, September 9, 2024 : The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in association with the Literary Association, organized an essay writing competition to commemorate International Literacy Day. The event took place at 10:20 AM in SF-47, drawing enthusiastic participation from 26 students across various streams.
The theme of the competition, “Literacy and Nation Building,” resonated with participants, who were given 25 minutes to complete their essays. The event was expertly coordinated by Ms. Noorjahan Begum, Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), and Mr. Lohith, Assistant Professor, Department of HSS.
The success of the event was further ensured by the invaluable support of Ms. Laveena and Ms. Sunitha, Assistant Professors, Department of HSS. Their collective efforts made the competition a resounding success, promoting literacy and encouraging students to express their thoughts on the significance of literacy in nation-building.
