Mangalore, August 15, 2024 : The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at P. A First Grade College. The event began with the ceremonial flag-hoisting by Chief Guest Dr. Sajeesh Ragunathan, Principal of P. A Institute of Physiotherapy, followed by the national anthem.

Dr. Ragunathan emphasized the importance of unity and the role of youth in strengthening the nation. He shared valuable insights into the country’s pride 200 years ago and the responsibility of the youth to uphold it.

Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of PAFGC, delivered an inspiring speech, reminding students of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the importance of upholding the values of democracy, freedom, and equality. He emphasized the crucial role of education in shaping a brighter future for the country and encouraged students to contribute positively to the nation’s development.
Mr. Abdul Sameer, Assistant Professor, also spoke about the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the significance of youth in nation-building.

The celebrations were a grand success, with active participation from the college community. The event paid tribute to freedom fighters and served as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with freedom. The celebrations concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and commitment towards building a stronger India.
