Mangaluru, 27 November, 2024: The Manaswini College of Nursing, a pioneering institution dedicated to excellence in healthcare education, inaugurated its first BSc Nursing batch for the academic year 2024-25 on November 27, 2024, at Arkula, Farangipete, Mangaluru. The event, held at the prestigious Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini campus, marked a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to advancing healthcare services through quality nursing education.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by esteemed chief guest Dr. Ravisha Thunga Airody, Chairman of Manaswini Mental Health & Charitable Trust. In his keynote address, Dr. Thunga emphasized the vital role of skilled nurses in transforming healthcare and highlighted the Trust’s mission to foster a generation of compassionate, knowledgeable, and resilient healthcare professionals.
Accompanying him were Dr. Suchitra Thunga, Secretary of the Trust, and Prof. Bridget D’Silva, Principal of Manaswini College of Nursing. Dr. Suchitra Thunga underscored the importance of nurturing both academic and emotional intelligence in nursing students, ensuring they excel in patient care and empathy. Prof. Bridget D’Silva shared the college’s vision of providing a world-class curriculum aligned with modern healthcare demands and encouraged the new batch to embrace the journey of lifelong learning.
