Mangalore, 10 July 2025: Swastika National Business School celebrated Guru Poornima with deep spiritual fervor and heartfelt gratitude towards the guiding lights of education — the Gurus. Held on campus at 9:30 AM, the event brought together students and faculty in an atmosphere filled with reverence and cultural significance.
The ceremony began with a traditional invocation, where students offered prayers to honor their mentors. Mrs. Vidyalaxmi Shetty delivered the opening remarks, setting the tone for the occasion. This was followed by a presidential address by Dr. Raghavendra Holla, who reflected on the enduring importance of the Guru-Shishya tradition.
A symbolic Guru Vandana formed the heart of the celebration, with students expressing their gratitude through respectful offerings. The highlight of the event was the Paadapooja, where students performed a traditional ritual by washing the feet of their teachers and seeking their blessings.
