Mangaluru, February 27, 2026: In a major breakthrough in the alleged internship scam case, an FIR has been officially filed against the accused firms operating under the names ‘Vexon’ and ‘BMP’, escalating the fight against what has been described as a systematic exploitation of students.
The complaint has been registered at the Kadri Police Station after multiple students came forward with allegations of being cheated. The firms are accused of collecting ₹51,000 from each student under the promise of providing paid internships with an assured monthly salary of ₹30,000.
Addressing the media, Muliya Sathwik, President of the Swastika National Business School Student Union and student leader and representative, stated that filing the FIR is a decisive step toward ensuring justice for affected students. He asserted that the student community will not tolerate the exploitation of youth under the guise of internship opportunities.
Student representatives alleged that the operation followed a chain-based recruitment model aimed at extracting money from unemployed graduates and degree students. Reports suggest that several victims have suffered both financial loss and emotional distress.
The student leadership has warned that if strict and immediate action is not taken against those responsible, protests will be intensified across the district.
The case has now entered a serious legal stage, and further developments are awaited as authorities begin their investigation.
