Mangalore, September 19, 2024: Swastika National Business School, in association with Mangaluru City Police, K S Hegde Medical Academy (Nitte DU), and its National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, successfully inaugurated the ‘Campus Drug-Free’ campaign. This initiative aims to promote a drug-free campus environment.
The event, held at the college premises, was presided over by Dr. Raghavendra Holla, Chairman of Swastika National Business School. Dignitaries present included Dr. Mahabalesh Shetty, Professor and Head of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at K S Hegde Medical Academy; Sathish M P, Inspector of Cyber Economic & Narcotics Crime Police Station; Mrs. Bharathi Gowda, Inspector of Urwa Police Station; and Dr. Malini N Hebbar, Principal of Swastika National Business Schooland Ms. Ashwini Meti, Student Senate President.
Dr. Mahabalesh Shetty delivered a special talk on drug addiction, highlighting its detrimental effects on mental and physical health. He urged students to prioritize their well-being. A voluntary drug test was conducted for students, with all participants showing their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.
The event was supported by the Student Council, NSS leaders, faculty members, and volunteers of Swastika National Business School. As part of this initiative, compulsory drug tests will be implemented to ensure a drug-free campus environment.
The ‘Campus Drug-Free’ campaign marks a significant step toward safeguarding the health and future of the student community.
