Mangaluru, November 6, 2024: The IPR Cell of Canara College organized a comprehensive workshop titled “Innovate with Confidence: IPR Fundamentals and Best Practices” to foster innovation and intellectual property awareness among students, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
The workshop featured three insightful sessions:
- “IPR Fundamentals: Know Your Rights, Protect Your Work” by Dr. Arathi Shanbhag, emphasizing the importance of understanding intellectual property rights.
- “Trademarks and Geographical Indications” by Dr. Balika, delving into the nuances of trademark law and geographical indications.
- “IPR Practices and Management” by Dr. Santhosh Prabhu, providing practical insights into effective IPR management.
The workshop aimed to:
- Enhance awareness of intellectual property rights and their significance
- Educate participants on best practices for protecting innovations
- Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship
