Mangalore, September 25, 2024: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Swastika National Business School, in association with the Karnataka Forest Department, Mangalore Division, organized a successful beach clean-up at Tannirbhavi Beach on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and responsibility among students and the local community. Over 100 participants, including students, faculty, and volunteers, actively took part in the clean-up drive. With a focus on maintaining the ecological balance and reducing plastic pollution, the participants collected and disposed of waste, including plastic, glass, and other non-biodegradable materials, making the beach cleaner and more sustainable.
Representatives from the Karnataka Forest Department commended the efforts of the volunteers and highlighted the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems. They also encouraged continuous community engagement in such environmental activities.
The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment as the participants saw the tangible impact of their collective efforts. The clean-up was not only an act of service but also an educational experience that reinforced the importance of protecting natural resources.
