Sullia, 3 January 2025: Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarthi Parishat (ABVP) organized a protest at the KSRTC Bus Stand, Sullia, highlighting the persistent problems faced by students due to irregular and insufficient KSRTC bus services. The protest was held to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the inconvenience caused to students who depend on public transport for their daily commute to educational institutions.

Addressing the gathering, ABVP-supported All College Student Union leader and President Muliya Sathwik spoke in detail about the long-standing issues related to KSRTC bus transportation. He stated that the lack of punctual buses, sudden cancellations, and inadequate services have severely affected students’ academic schedules. He emphasized that ABVP has always stood firmly with students and would continue to fight for their rights until a permanent solution is provided.

Muliya Sathwik further highlighted that despite repeated representations and appeals, the authorities have failed to take concrete action. He urged the KSRTC department to understand the seriousness of the issue and ensure student-friendly transportation facilities at the earliest.
City Secretary Punith H addressed the protesters and appealed to students to remain united and disciplined while raising their voices. He stressed the importance of peaceful and democratic methods of protest and called upon the authorities to respond responsibly to the genuine demands of students.
Several ABVP leaders, including Prithesh Kannemaradkka, Shrisharan Mogra, Amith Nayak, protest convenor Keerthan, and Manvith, were present during the protest and expressed their solidarity. They reiterated that the agitation would be intensified if the KSRTC department fails to take corrective measures.
The protest concluded peacefully with ABVP leaders warning that continued negligence towards student issues would force them to launch stronger movements in the coming days.
